Bonus Optional Challenge
And here I thought Sarah and I were done until Sunday. Oh no, this race is NO JOKE! They have posted a bonus challenge and, well, I don't think I can resist. For this challenge, you have to create a scrapbook page based on something that is part of your daily routine. Hmmmm.... I've wanted to do a "Day in the Life of Kinsey" page for a while. Maybe I should do a page about "Nap Time" as in, what's my routine during nap time. I just don't know. I guess we'll see what will come. I wonder if Sarah will partake in this optional challenge. For doing the challenge you get a $10 gift certificate to this store and you have a chance to win a year subscription to Ladies Home Journal. If I finish this challenge I might use the $10 to buy this, this, this, this or this. It all looks good.

Challenge 2 DONE!!!

Yeah! We just finished our second challenge, working on this layout together. I did the top half and Paige did the bottom. I am all about the swirls and Paige is about glitter and sequins so it really fit our personality. It was so much fun working together, with Paige looking over my shoulder, offering superb advice. It's nice to have a partner in crime!!

Sarah's Challenge #1
Challenge #2
Wow they didn't waste any time getting the second one posted. I feel like I just finished the first challenge. Ok, this time we have to work together with our partner to create one layout. Basically, Sarah has to do half and I have to do the other half. We can split the page up however we want to, but we each have to do half. Hmmmm....I'm thinking maybe we should do a scrapbook page about our friendship and I can write about her and she can write about me? I don't know, but it has to be done by March 2nd, so we better get rolling. Here's what we get when we finish. I love this kit. It is so pretty!

Paige's Challenge #1

1. Use Christy Haig's template. OK. Done.
2. I used my favorite color of pink for most of the layout. I don't know if it's because I have a little girl, but I tend to have a lot of pink in my life. In fact, I am wearing a pink sweatshirt right now. Ha.
3. I used my favorite subject for these pictures-my daughter, Kinsey. I have taken so many pictures of here it's just crazy, so now I am scrapbooking them.
4. I used my favorite thing--glitter! I am a glitter junkie. I just love everything about it!
You can go HERE to see all the other layouts that people have done using this criteria.

Let the Race Begin
Our first official challenge has been posted. We have until next Sunday, March 2 to finish it. We have to use this template:

And here are the things we have to do:
1. Use this template
2. Use our favorite color in at least half of the layout
3. Share a picture of our favorite person or animal
4. Pick out our favorite digital element and use it three times somewhere on the layout.
Ok, that's it. When we finish it we have to post our layouts in our galleries and we will each get a $10 credit to the this challenge's host site. Hmmmm....what are we going to buy?
Kick-Off Chat
Last night was the official kick off chat and, of course, my computer wouldn't let me access it. I hate having a 4 year old computer. Aarrrgghhh. Anyway, I was still able to get the yummy free kit they were giving all the contestents. See it below...looks like fun. I bet Sarah loves it! It's just up her alley. Well, the first challenge will be posted tomorrow at the main hosting site. Can't wait to get started. Til then I can play with my new kit!
