Challenge #6...Love VS Hate

Wow. I really got this one done at the last minute. I just couldn't think of something to write about. Sarah's original layout was all about the things she loves. I really really really didn't want to do a layout about things I don't like. It just didn't sound like fun to me. So....I made up a silly layout from a recent birthday celebration and titled it "I hate it when I eat so much I think I might puke". I hope that's enough of an "opposite" theme from Sarah's to qualify! I will probably change the title to something a little more normal for my permanent scrapbook. Anyway, here's my page. It's only one side. I started on the second half, but it's going to have to wait to be finished until after spring break. I just wanted to finish this challenge so we could move on to the next one. I can come back to it later.

Here's my finished layout (remember I had to spin one of Sarah's layouts (see rules below) and use an opposite theme. I spun it clockwise 90 degrees.

Here's Sarah's original layout:

I can't wait to get that beautiful kit!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SARAH!

Just a quick shout out to my partner, Sarah. I hope you had a Happy Birthday! We had fun eating yummy BBQ with all you friends at dinner. Thanks for the fun!

Challenge 6 is a ROAD BLOCK

OK, for this leg of the race, only one team member can participate (you know, it's a road block, like on the TV show, Amazing Race, and so only one person does it). It's a crazy crazy, did I say crazy, one!!!! This is called a Spin-A-Lift. What you do is you take your partner's original layout and turn it 90 degrees left or right, a full 180 degrees OR flip it horizontally or vertically to come up with a brand new composition for your page. Then you just scraplift away. Also, you have to change the layout to the complete opposite theme of the original layout. For example, if Sarah did a layout on summer, I would have to do a layout on winter. If she did a layout on sleeping, I would have to do a layout on being awake. Wow, this one is crazy, but the prize is AWESOME!!! Check out the kit we get when we finish. It ROCKS!This kit isn't even in the shop yet. It is just too beautiful! I can't wait to have it in my collection. How great is that alpha?

Paige's Challenge 5

I'm not so thrilled with this scrapbook page. I don't have any current pictures of Kinsey with her milk and I think I need some extra time to figure out what exactly I want to do with this memory. I want to scrapbook it, because it is just so funny when she does it, but I need to get the right pictures to go with it. I will be the first to admit that I didn't put my full effort into this challenge, but I still finished and i'm ready for the next one. I'm going to have to go back to this page when I have the right pics to put into it. At least I have the memory written down so when I want to go back it's already there. This was a tough challenge....I mean, really, an interview with an inanimate object. That's hard.

Sarah's Challenge #5

for this challenge, I decided to write about my little office space and what my computer would say if it could talk to me.

We're talking to ourselves in Challenge 5

This is going to be a funny one. In this Challenge we have to feature an interview with an inanimate object. The only criteria is that it has to include a minimun of 4 questions and answers. For completing this challenge we get a Mega Kit from our friends at Digitals. I have NO idea what I am going to do. This one is a hard one!

Paige's Challenge #4

I think this picture of Kinsey and her Nana is just too precious. She looks so content sitting in her lap. I love it! I struggled with this challenge, but I'm happy with the end result. I love the background picture of Kinsey. She had just learned to walk and was having a blast opening and shutting the bedroom door.

Spill It in Challenge 4

Oscraps is giving us our next challenge and it looks like a good one with a good prize. The Challenge is titles, "Spill It" and they want us to pick a situation and basically spill the beans, the good, the bad and the ugly. It must include 1 large picture, blending, and journaling (your "spill it" part) on 1/4 of the page. Is it just me or are these challenges requiring a lot of journaling? Maybe that's because it's the part of scrapbooking that a lot of people have trouble doing. For finishing the challenge you get your choice of an Oscraps Collaborative Kit. Sounds Good. I think I want this one? Or maybe this one? I just can't decide! Off to work, I guess.

Challenge #3

Here's my page. At first I thought this was a weird challenge but I think I will really like it 10 years from now when I can look back and remember when my life was simple and kid free.

Yes, I am a little nutty!

Here's my take on Challenge #3. It was supposed to be all about you so I wrote all about my obsessivly organized self. I am pretty happy with the result and I especially like my picture highlighting my labelmaker. I have wanted to document my craziness for quite some time so this was the perfect opportunity!

The 3rd one has been posted!

Challenge #3 has been posted and it's a challenge to do a layout all about you. That's the only criteria. They said you can do a layout about your favorite things, where you live, whatever, as long and it's all about YOU. And half of the page has to be covered in journaling about you. For completing the challenge we will get the "In the Mood" CD shippped to us packed with 10 kits (I think we have to pay $5 for it if we want it, it's normally sold at Michael's for $25ish) and we are also entered to win a night stay at this place, a digital scrapbooking getaway in Park City, Utah. It looks pretty awesome, but it's pretty far so I think I would choose to trade it in for all 10 of their CDs since they don't cover travel. Geez, I really need to think about what I'm going to write. I did a great page about me on my 28th birthday so that wasn't so long ago. I need to come up with a good idea. Hmmmm.....

Paige's Bonus Challenge

I decided to do this bonus challenge on my normal "naptime" routine. I seriously have pretty much the same routine every time she goes down for a nap. Shower, lunch, scrapbook, coffee, relax. I look forward to the time to myself every day. I'm always recharged for when Kinsey wakes up a couple hours later.
